Tumbleweed
Tumbleweed is my senior capstone project at the University of Texas, sparked by my fascination with the emerging legal cannabis industry and my love for Austin, Texas. The project combines these passions to create a legal cannabis brand that reflects the city’s vibrant energy and its deep western roots. Austin’s bold, creative spirit mirrors the dynamic growth of the cannabis industry, where new opportunities and innovative ideas are continually unfolding.
Typically, capstone projects are year-long endeavors culminating in an exhibition at the end of the year. However, due to COVID-19, we adapted by developing websites as an alternative platform for showcasing our work. What would usually be created in a collaborative studio space, I researched, ideated, designed, art directed, and photographed from the confines of my bedroom, ultimately bringing the project to life online.
